The Eagles Did Play The Rams, Dude
You have to love doofball Philadelphia Eagles fans like this one. You take a harmless comment and blow it up as “bulletin board material.”
The fact of the matter is, Adam Jones is right. The Eagles did play quite possibly the worst team in the NFL, the St. Louis Rams. So, each of the starting receivers had more than 100 yards. Not bad. But so what? Apparently, Adam Jones points this out, and Eagles fans think it’s “bulletin board material.”
Go ahead and shove that on your bulletin boards. You are going to need a lot more motivation than just words. It will be only a matter of days until one of your evil garbage pal kids of players says something ridiculous.
None of us will deny that the Eagles looked good, but the Cowboys looked better against a much, much, much better football team.
We only have to wait until Monday, my friends.

The Eagles are just glad that somebody’s talking about them. Any mention in the media is worth a spot on the bulletin board.
September 9th, 2008 at 3:58 amThat being said, Ian is the worst blogger I’ve ever come across and I’m making it a personal goal of mine to harass him on his blog until he realizes that the Eagles are a chicken sh*t team and organization and Eagles fans are skidmarks on the underwear of the NFL.
Ian’s on crack…Tulip actually has a better grip on reality
September 9th, 2008 at 7:09 amThe Browns have one of the worst secondaries in the league. Not much difference between the Rams and Browns in that area. Let’s see what happens when the Cowboys go up against the league’s top secondary.
Last I checked, the last Eagles / Cowboys game TO had 2 catches!
September 9th, 2008 at 8:33 amAnd last I checked, that was the 3rd to last game, when the Cowboys already had everything sewed up for the season. If you recall the 1st game of the season vs the Eagles, in week 9, when it ACTUALLY MEANT SOMETHING, TO had 10 receptions for 174 yards and a TD.
September 9th, 2008 at 10:43 am@ Truth:
Very true, but going back to 2006, Owens’ first season in Dallas, he had three receptions for 45 yards in his first game in Philly, a 38-24 Eagles win, capped by Sheppard’s 102-yard interception return in the closing moments.
And then at Texas Stadium, Owens had two catches for 37 yards in the Eagles’ 23-7 win on Christmas Night.
Add it all up and the Eagles are 3-1 against the Cowboys since Owens moved to Texas.
September 9th, 2008 at 11:11 amTrue, although the 2nd game of 2006 he did have a TD, the receptions and yardage were not impressive. All of that is just comparing TO vs Eagles. As far as teams go, there were 3 REALLY impressive teams in week 1 of 2008… Cowboys, Eagles, and Broncos. I think the Cowboys played the best team of the three, but all opposing teams have horrible secondaries. I guess we’ll see what happens Monday night. I’m just glad its in Dallas, because I think it would be a lot different if the Cowboys had to go into Philly for a Monday night game. It ought to be a good game, but I don’t see the Cowboys losing in any scenario…
September 9th, 2008 at 11:47 amWell, actually the Raiders HAD a good secondary, but it didn’t look like it last night anyway….
September 9th, 2008 at 11:48 am@ Truth
Cowboys stood out on Sunday as well. Guess next Tuesday we will know what team is for real. But it is only the second game of the season. See what happens and where the teams are when the meet-up again on December 28 in Philly.
September 9th, 2008 at 12:08 pmWelcome Brian. I like you better than Ian the Hun.
September 9th, 2008 at 12:36 pmMan you gotta love this trash talk, its what the game is all about. As an eagles fan, i love having “america’s team” as our biggest rival. Should be a great game come monday and hopefully Donovan makes it rain on the Cowboys secondary like Pacman did to those poor, poor girls.
September 9th, 2008 at 1:13 pmIt’s funny that many were picking the Rams to win the game, but when the Eagles destroy them it turns into “you played the Rams dude”.
If the Eagles beat the Cowbvoys next week there will be talk of Dallas being overrated. The win will not mean anything, because any team the Eagles beat must suck of course.
On the flip side Dallas won their game, so the Browns must be a powerhouse team. Despite the fact that the Brownies have not made the playoffs since what 2001?
Pacman should really make at least 1 play before he starts talking smack again. Last time he went this route he got embarrassed.
September 9th, 2008 at 1:29 pmAdam Jones has been busy running his mouth this week…

September 9th, 2008 at 1:39 pmThe second time we play philly it will be an automatic win for philly, beacause well already have homefield advantage again
September 9th, 2008 at 2:03 pmI don’t care that the Browns haven’t won a playoff game since ‘01. They’re the better team of the two. Stop pulling stupid, worthless stats out of your huge, philly cheesesteak eatin ass. Another abortion of a post, Ian.
September 9th, 2008 at 10:01 pmThe obvious has been missed by all, the cowboys haven’t gone further than the 1st round since , let me see, 1996? Until that trend is changed there is but one conclusion, shut up until you actually win a playoff game. You may win in the regular season
