Michael Strahan: Dallas Cowboys Win Super Bowl

It didn’t take long for Michael Strahan to turn his back on his beloved Giants. While appearing as an NFL commentator, Strahan said the Dallas Cowboys are his favorite to win the Super Bowl.

“Dallas Cowboys, right now, the best team in the league. So I have to go with the Dallas Cowboys.”

The New York “media” got word of the statement, and Giants fans are going crazy with their posts. Here are a few that just downright hilarious, stupid, and false.

Here is one:

Let’s not get carried away from the first game of a 16 game schedule. Teams don’t win championships on paper as history has proved. The Cowboys have a very good offense but a weak defense. The Giants and Eagles can bring the pressure to disrupt Romo. It will be a tough task to win the NFC East.

The Cowboys have a weak defense? Is this guy mentally challenged? Does he realize Greg Ellis and DeMarcus Ware had more sacks than any duo last season? I honestly believe we can look forward to this defense improving, especially in the secondary where players are being shuffled around a little bit. Adam Jones will get better.

Justin, I was referring to SPECIAL TEAMS blocking (including punt and kickoff returns).  You would know that if you read my whole post or had an IQ over 40.  The line IS a big deal in a running back being successful, even though you may not think so, but I was specifically talking about punt/kickoff returns, not rushing.  My point is, you made a negative post acting like we played the Patriots without Brady like the Chiefs did.  Cribbs would have made a SLIGHT difference, but nothing game changing.  Stallworth was OK as an Eagle, but did nothing in New England.  Nick Folk could cover Joe Jurevicius.  Derek Anderson had a MILD concussion.  He was never REALLY in question of starting, and was 100% come gametime.  Enjoy the impressive win, and quit looking for something to cry about !

thats worse haha ..thanks though and GO BOYS!

GUYS-

WHEN DOES THE NBC SCEDUELE FLEXING START?

please dont tell me week 8....

Cowboys dominated an average to good team.  Eagles totally destroyed and humiliated a really really bad team.  I watched both games in their entirety and I think that overall the Cowboys win was more impressive, but only barely.  In the end, we just don't have enough information yet.

Was the Ram's secondary that bad or have the Eagles actually found some wide receiver talent?  How can you tell until they play someone with a decent defense?  We just don't know if they can reproduce that kind of performance.

Greg Ellis was lined up over Kellen Wislow so he could bump him and disrupt his route running which worked very well. depeding on the Defence he also has some pass coverage duties.

how many db's do we have on the roster........ and we lined greg ellis up as a CB a time or two

I agree that theres some places to improve. But Newman can cover everyone else but not Stallworth and Jurevicous?  I strongly disagree with that. I think the secondary played great, our D-Line got no pressure on Anderson so that left our DB's running around, and they did a great job. Pacman also dropped an interception, and Edwards drop was a lucky break but you can give him that touchdown and its still a two score game. We also were missing some key players to injuries. Also Barber left the game in 3rd quarter. Personally i think the cowboys could have done better, but the cowboys O-line owned the browns and that  game was over at half time.

"its mostly the blocking in front of them." i didnt see the o-line switch out when J. Jones ran vs when Barber ran last year..... and i think the world of terrance newman but i dont think he could cover both stallworth and jurevius if they played. at the beginning of the week they weren't sure if their number 1 QB RB and WR would play and they played without # 2 and 3 WR's.............happy they won? yes..... throwing a huge celebration? no..... Braylong Edwards dropped that 38 yard td pass... and pacmans pass interference on Edwards so jamal lewis ran it in instead..... we got lucky. vs a good team i'd be celebrating but vs cleveland? i'll hold of praises til it's earned

It's only a prediction which strahan as an analyst is entittled to. the NY media is getting their panties wet over nothing. Coming into yesterday's game Cleveland had injuries but so did the Cowboys. Dallas played better hands down.

Justin, let me explain something to you.  The players that were out of this game made no difference in the outcome.  Cribbs' absence looks like a big deal but really is not.  Special teams is really a TEAM effort.  Hester and Cribbs are special players that make a big impact, but its mostly the blocking in front of them.  The Bears have the best special teams players as a TEAM.  Hester is better than some other random person back there, but a random person could get it done.  Put Hester on a horrible special teams unit and the bad blocking will result in Hester being a below average return man.  Its the same thing with Cribbs.  The Browns didn't have Stallworth.  Well, the Cowboys didn't have Newman.  The Browns only touchdown came on a drive that was held together by 3 penalties resulting in 1st downs.
Bottom line, to say that Dallas has a weak defense or even the same defense as last year (which I would take as a insult) is ridiculous.  The Browns have a great offense, and they were held to 10 points !
They ONLY thing MORE impressive than the defenses improvement was the play of the offensive line ! ! !

eh i dont really disagree with him. had Cleveland not had so many injuries on offense, it woulda been a closer game. Cribbs was out to so their special teams was without their star return man.... Dallas Secondary looked like the Dallas secondary
