This is getting kind of old, but another blogger exhibits ignorance in this post attacking All-Pro Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten. But this post deserves urgent response because it is completely off base. He opines that Witten is a bad guy a-hole for abruptly responding to rookie tight end Martellus Bennett. This is what we would call crooked, yellow journalism.
What the blogger doesn’t know is Martellus Bennet has been a big disappointment so far. He’s childish and lazy, and HBO’s Hard Knocks program has focused on him quite a bit because they know he is struggling.
So, when the kid approaches Witten for some advice, allegedly Witten snapped, telling him he needs to learn and listen first, and then he’ll step in with advice. Personally, I don’t see what the problem is. It’s glaringly obvious that Bennett needs discipline more than Witten’s advice, and some harsh discipline is exactly what Witten fed him.
Instead, the vicious Minnesota Vikings blogger decides to turn this around and make Witten look like the bad guy. And he tops off his pathetic post with a proverbial cherry citing a past post he made that disparages Cowboys. This is worse than the Jacksonville Jaguars cross-dressing blogger attacking Witten.
The Vikings blogger post actually contained malice. And he is dead wrong.

Uh, that type of conversation happens all the time in football. Martellus Bennett is a young rookie who is lazy. He isn’t making a good impression on his teammates as of late. The tight end coach John Garrett is constantly on Bennett’s ass. Of course Witten is going to jump on his shit. Maybe if Bennett’s body language would show an actual desire to learn and improve, maybe Witten would have responded in a nicer way.
