Terence Newman is Fine

Dallas Cowboys corner Terence Newman got tangled with a wide receiver yesterday and tweaked his groin area during practice. Cowboys officials say the star cornerback is fine, but he was kept from practicing yesterday as a precaution.

This injury is not nearly as difficult to recover from than what Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel sustained earlier this week. Samuel injured his hamstring and might need an MRI soon. Not good for Eagles fans. Couple Samuel’s setback with Donovan McNabb’s injured throwing shoulder, and the Eagles are staring at trouble once again.

In other Cowboys news, apparently, Sam Hurd and Miles Austin are outplaying Isaiah Stanback in practices. That’s good news because one of those three need to step up big time this season. I put my money on Sam Hurd.
