Terry Glenn Is No Jedi

Terry Glenn could have used some advice from Yoda this off season. Yoda would have told Glenn not to play tricks with Jerry Jones.

Nick Eatman with the Dallas Cowboys Web Site is reporting today that Glenn has been released.

Jerry Jones announced during Friday’s afternoon practice that Glenn is no longer a Cowboy. From Eatman:

“We’ve been working for weeks with Terry’s representative, looking at how might structure something, as it pertains to the preseason, as well as going into the season,” Jones said. “At the end of the day, we’re waiving Terry this afternoon. We’re going on down the road and seeing where we are.”

The problem Glenn ran into was a request from Jones that Glenn sign a $500,000 waiver in case he is injured. Glenn fought it for months. Then, he decided he would sign it. But it was too late. This opens the door for a new receiver to step up. Some say it will be Sam Hurd. Some say it could be Miles Austin.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
