Ken Hamlin is ‘Quartback of the Defense’

Ken Hamlin is now one of the highest-paid safeties in the game as of today. The Dallas Cowboys signed the Pro Bowler to six years for $39 million, including $15 million guaranteed. The Cowboys made the deal in the final hours before the deadline.

Try and criticize now my power ranking of the Cowboys No. 1. The Cowboys have re-signed nearly every single Pro Bowler from last season: Terence Newman, Terrell Owens, Marion Barber, Tony Romo, Ken Hamlin, Flozell Adams, Jay Ratliff and a few other position players. How is this team not the most powerful in the NFL when the Cowboys brass develop team chemistry by signing all the key players to longterm deals. Folks, this signing bodes well for the Cowboys and the future of this organization. The Cowboys are the most powerful team in the NFL right now, at this moment, hands down.

According to this article, head coach Wade Phillips says Hamlin is the “quarterback of the defense.” Hamlin had 102 tackles and five interceptions with the Cowboys.

The contract is equal to what former Giants safety Gibril Wilson got with Oakland. The Jets signed Kerry Rhodes to a five-year, $33.5 million deal

I don't know about "Hands down" but your team does look strong on paper.  Let's see how well they do when the season -- and more importantly the post-season -- comes along.

Looks like I can go ahead and order my Hamlin jersey now  =]

Sweet news! Now I hope we can pay D.Ware next year.

Two posts before RG. This must be a new record or something.

Glad to see this business get done, not quite sure if he's completely worth the money yet, but knowing that there's one competent safety back there is a lot off my mind.

This is good news Now if TG would sign the split the split contract were set. FIRST POST!!!
