Michael Irvin Is a Genius

by Cowboys

Michael Irvin gets a lot of criticism for his past. But no player has shown more love for the game than Irvin has since he left it. His Hall of Fame speech last year will go down as one of the most emotional talks to fans the NFL has ever witnessed. But he continues his good deeds.

Here is a great article about a program the NFL adopted from an idea of Irvin’s. All rookies take a trip to the Hall of Fame to learn valuable lessons about the game and its great players. One of them is Irvin. Another is Aikman. And then there’s Emmitt, and a host of other Dallas Cowboys who are truly some of the best players the NFL has ever seen.

Irvin has paid his dues. He’s instilling history into these impressionable young players, and he’s helping them pursue a dream.

Great post, thanks for the info

Are there any live demos?

I am starting to think the ghost is actually THE Herschel Walker. Always something crazy there in those comments. Is Staubach THE Staubach too?  Is #9  Romo? Is Tony Gonzalez Tony Gonzalez? Kind of makes you think...who's out there. Doesn't it?

Whats with all the 'Skins fans in here?  Don't you guys have your own blog?

Art Monk should of been inducted to the HOF a long time ago. But to agree with that and then say Irvin doesnt belong in the HOF is plain silly. ART played 4 more years in the NfL than Irvin and had 817 more yards, 190 more receptions and 3 more touchdowns. Thats not that much given 4 extra years, Not to mention Irvin went to 2 more Pro-Bowls and was the MVP for 1 of them. But make no mistake my argument has nothing to do with weather Art belongs in the HOF. It just supports why Irvin should be also.

All rookies should do push ups and sit ups with me before they ever set foot on the field, and I am gonna put some white out on Mike Irvin's Bust-nose in Canton...

Herschel for president

NP RG. I just came from the Eagles site and was a little disgusted. The vileness over there is unbelievable. They have just confirmed every stereotype there is.

Staubach I admit I took a cheap shot and I apologise if I actually offended anyone.  It was a tongue in cheek comment and not meant to be taken seriously.

Amazing to me how people can so easily condemn a person without knowing their life's circumstances. I guess it is easy see where others screw up without looking in the mirror first. Irvin is good person with personal problems. Substance abuse is a cry for help. But then acting drunk and beating up opposing fans and mascots is cool, right? Guess these drunken fans are just doing the same thing, only it is OK since its a legal drug. Too many freaking glass houses here

With the money those guys make these days as rookies, they should pay for the trip themselves.  Waste of money if you ask me.  If rookies need to be inspired by looking at the busts of a bunch of dudes and don't know the history of the NFL, then they are playing for the dough anyways.

Sorry Dan, but the thought of having to stomach watching Michael Irvin cry is not a "Memorable" speech, perhaps he was really crying because he pulled the wool over the eyes of the entire voting commity in getting him in before Art Monk.  Irvin may have the rings, but sorry, the man does not deserve HOF recognition.  Hell, his off-field antics should have kept him out.

Ok after my post I havent heard anything more about Irvin. Either that means Im right about him or everyone else is on crack. #9, sounds like you have 1st hand experience on the pipe.

The difference, number_9, is that I'm not writing articles giving Timmy Smith verbal fellatio and claiming he's the smartest person in the world now that Benjamin Franklin is dead.

Tony you dumbass how is that related to michael Irvin? Tulip you seem to forget a guy named timmy smith who was the ORIGINAL crack pipe smoker. remember super bowl 22 he had his one day in the sun then he thought he was god's gift to RB's? My grandma could have ran thru those holes the hogs were plowing thru that weak Denver D. He ended up out of football a year later? then he got busted for cocaine possesion who knows how many times? remember that Tulip? Lamecoast your still lamer than tulip.....get a life.

Reason # 1,692 why Tony G is better than Jason Witten:

Tony Gonzalez might just be a certified effing super hero. As if Tony G wasn’t hero enough 16 Sundays a year (maybe 17 if we’re lucky), he’s now saving lives, too. From The Kansas City Star:

It all happened fast, and Martin doesn’t remember all the details. She just remembers Tony Gonzalez running over, performing the Heimlich maneuver on the choking man, and Gonzalez rejoining his family at their table.
“We were scared, definitely,” said Martin, who has worked four years as a server at Capone’s Italian Restaurante in Huntington Beach. “He was so thankful that Tony was behind him. We wouldn’t have been able to help him the way Tony did.”
In what Martin estimated was a 10-second ordeal, Gonzalez added a new line to his astonishing resume. All-Pro tight end for the Chiefs. Actor. Reality-show judge.
Now, Gonzalez is a lifesaver.

Irvin is just a big-headed ass. I like how he waited to come up with the idea to visit the hall of fame until after he was inducted. That way he could make everyone go up there and look at him.

And he's personally getting drugs off the streets. One crack pipe at a time.

First post.
