Was The Brady Quinn Deal Bad For The Cowboys?

DMN’s Tim MacMahon asks a good question here about the trade last year with Cleveland. I don’t think any of us expected the Browns to win 10 games, and I think Jerry Jones made the trade with the belief that the Dallas Cowboys would have a pretty high pick in this current draft.

It didn’t happen.

So, MacMahon wonder if it would it have been better if the Cowboys drafted LSU wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, instead of giving the pick away to Cleveland? Bowe appears to be a star, catching 70 passes for 995 yards and 5 touchdowns in his rookie year on a team that doesn’t have a quarterback who can throw to him.

We’re suspecting that Bowe was on Jerry Jones’ radar. I know he was on mine, and I wanted the Cowboys to draft him, so I was slightly disappointed when the trade was made.

Also, this means we’d only have the 28th pick in this draft. I’m not sure the answer is so concrete. What do you guys think?  Bowe now and the 28th pick or two first round picks this weekend?
