Who Do The Titans Want? Who Is Dallas Offering?
So how will the Dallas Cowboys get Pacman Jones?
Who is this undisclosed player?
I can tell you right now, the Tennessee Titans need a wide out. Right now, there wide receiver roster consists of Justin Gage, Eric Moulds (over the hill), Brandon Jones, Roydell Williams (who?), Justin McCareins (who?) and Biren Ealy (who?).
The Dallas Cowboys are well-stocked at receiver, but it should be noted that of the seven players listed on the roster, there is only one superstar, Terrell Owens. Could Isaiah Stanback, Miles Austin, Sam Hurd, or even newly signed Patrick Crayton be the undisclosed player? One of my goals this coming year is to learn more about the salary cap and how it affects trades and contracts. I, unfortunately, cannot give you a solid answer of which player could be trade bait, based solely on cap hits. I would say it is unlikely any of these players are on the trade list because the Titans have too many mediocre receivers as it is. I am not sure Austin, Stanback or Hurd fit in their scheme.
At tight end, they now looked stocked with the pick up of Alge Crumpler and Bo Scaife was solid for them. So, I think Anthony Fasano remains a Cowboy although I originally thought he might have been the undisclosed player in the Pacman Trade.
We know the Cowboys are not waiving a running back at the Titans. We also know the Cowboys are not waiving any player in the secondary because the team can’t afford it.
For the offensive line, the Titans don’t appear to have any holes to fill. They have a solid number of back ups and none is a free agent.
I think the undisclosed player is likely on defense. The big question for the Titans is Albert Haynesworth, who was tagged as the franchise player, making him one, large disgruntled Titan. Will he be a Titan for much longer? Is Dallas waiving Tank Johnson? Remi Ayodele seems like a strong possibility. Marcus Spears, although he has certainly underperformed as a first-round draft pick, is not likely the bait because I think the Cowboys realize Pacman Jones is a risk.
Yes, Pacman was a 6th overall pick but a lot has transpired since then. His base salary for 2008 is $1.9 million and the Cowboys are probably not going to offer him more than $1 million for a one-year contract with incentives.
So, after evaluating the two rosters, The Landry Hat predicts that the Cowboys offered Remi Ayodele and a 7th round pick to the Titans for Pacman Jones.

Looks like you did quite a bit of research on that, and if it is any of these guys, it should be Remi. I agree. ……and it kind of makes more sense now Akin Ayodele being in a trade up offer in the draft for McFadden right? You know if Remi is traded for Pacman, that Akin and Pacman are going to clash like hell.
March 28th, 2008 at 10:06 amI think Landry Hat and steamroller are on to something. I still personally think there will NOT be a player involved unless Jerry Jones prefers to send a player and 7th rounder instead of just a 5th or 6th rounder. If there is a player involved, then this would probably be it. Good research LandryHat. Then, if Remi (Remilekun) Ayodele is "the player" it would almost be certain Akin (Akinola) Ayodele will be part of a later deal, bringing the McFadden discussion back once again, as steamroller stated.

March 28th, 2008 at 1:21 pmDamn it. Every time I repost something after an error, it comes out looking like that (above post). Sorry guys.
March 28th, 2008 at 1:23 pmI think its either going to be a 4th or a 5th round pick.
March 28th, 2008 at 1:44 pmNo way do the Cowboys trade a 4th or 5th rounder for a player who’s under League suspension and is one more criminal act from a lifetime ban. A 7th rounder or a conditional pick (say a 5th in next year’s draft if Pacman reaches certain milestones in terms of starts, plays, or whathaveyou) makes more sense.Remi Ayodele does make sense, given that he’s been cut half a dozen times and reclaimed. The Cowboys clearly like him and think he has potential but they’ve got more linebackers than they can use. Trading his brother, who’s the better player, makes sense, too, since it would open up a little bit of cap room.
