Cowboys Drafting Snafu Revisited

For those who care, I got down every defensive back on the chalkboard as shown in this post.

And, with the 22nd pick in the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys pick Dominique Rodger-Cromartie. Here is the rest of the list:

#2 Mckelvin
#3 Kenny Phillips
#4 Mike Jenkins
#5 Aqib Talib
#6 Tyrell Johnson
#7 Tracy Porter

Looks like Charles Godfrey is up there according to.  Suprised Cason or Flowers are not listed. If the sign Pac, maybe Reggie Smith may be a decent choice if KP is gone.

Guys I agree with you but unfortunately DRC and Mckelvin will be long gone.  They should not draft on need.  Thats a bad way to go and how you end up picking guys in spots that arent worthy of that spot.  if the above guys are off the board then they shouldnt reach with that pick for a corner just based on need.

TD your absolutly right only thing is that I dont want pacman in a cowboys uniform haha, but its going to happen no matter what so I might as well accept it. a corner should be taken with the 22nd pick. (DR-C, Mckelvin, Jenkins or Talib) and a WR with the 28th pick. This a very deep draft for running backs and one could easily be found in the 2nd round.

FELLAS cmon now getting Pacman  does not fix our need at corner. Yes it helps but Henry and Newman are gonna be 30&32 and we dont even know if Pacman can Ball like he used to (note that I Do want him, and do belive he can make an impact) Not to mention that Reeves was our next best thing and we all saw how the fastest guy on the team got burned and tourchered. So now hes gone,  We have NO DEPTH at Corner. Bottom line Corner is the hardest skill position in the game, the total package is hard to find. We have to draft a corner with 22. Drafting a RB or WR with 22 is not necessary think about it guys BARBER did it without JJones and Owens was a big enogh threat to let Crayton become a star and anyone on the field. Have faith in Stanback and Hurd.

I gotta say that I still don't believe that Jerry is going to pass up on McFadden if given the opportunity. If PACMAN is re-instated, and traded to Dallas, it could make this an easier choice in the draft room for Dallas also. So while I agree that Dallas should stay put, I foresee some trading, and like I have said, with the new stadium going up, Jerry needs a homerun to get these tickets sold and get these salesmen off the payroll. This board could be one of several things, but I agree that there is a possibilty that it could come back and bite the Boys in the ass, but then again, it could help them if they are strategizing for thier offensive picks (D MAC ?)

Hey LandryHat, I have 1 more pic I have found, but I will not be able to look at it right away. I will get back with you later in the week. I can't believe that all these videos are gone. It's got me scratching my head and kicking myself in the ass that I didn't act sooner on them. I apologize for getting your hopes up on the matter, but I assure you I am not done with it.

Pacman or not we should still take a CB with the 22nd. DR-C gets my vote.

dear pacman , I believe in you. I know how talented you are even if landry hat thinks we should draft some unproven rookie when were already invested in the secondary . He thinks you are just a punt returner. If you need strippers that bad im sure JJ will hand deliver them. Best of luck as a star cowboy.Wayne

LANDRYHAT check your E-mail !

everyone is making a big deal out of this list in the draft room. these corners are the tops on everyones list. yhey are the top corners in the draft.

I think Pacman gives us that kick returner we need to be as powerful since Deion Sanders. And that is worth a 5th round pick. My thoughts are if Pacman behaves, Anthony Henry may be traded or dropped.

I guess its POSSIBLE, but I personally don't think so.  I hope he is.  I just don't want to get my hopes up, and all of these mock drafts on this site with us landing him is playing with my emotions.  Yeah, Wayne, Pacman won't change our draft strategy at all.  He gives us a slight cushion if we wanted to take 'best player available' and there were just some absolute beasts still available in WR or RB, but I don't only see us drafting a CB in the first round, but I think its almost a given that it will be our first pick at #22.

I disagree Wayne.
Truth, I guarantee you DRC will be there at 22.
TD COWBOYS, I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't place all the blame or even much blame on Romo. I just think he needs to be more consistent. He tanked it the second half two years in a row.

If they take pacman why would they draft a corner or saftey do you honestly think they're going to pay roy williams and then bring in a rookie to take his playing time i highly doubt it . they will not take any defensive back with they're first rounders with pacman jones, henry and newman and another think buddy 30 for a corner isnt ancient hate to tell you.

LANDRY HAT I just wanna point out that Romo did choke against Seattle AS A PLACE HOLDER but as QUARTERBACK  YOUR DEAD WRONG why dont you try putting some blame on Terry Glenns catch in the Flats which he threw backwords for a Seattle Score. Or even the whole team but not Romo becasue he got them there He was the spark. And agasint the Giants Romo wasnt the one missing tackles on old fart bag Toomer, Romo did not loose that game either, The interception in the endzone was a fourth down play that had to be in the end zone, so your saying unless he creates miracles like that hell never get us anywhere? How bout the miracles he performed Both seasons tell me one quarterback who can through 5 interceptions in a game and bring his team back in a position to WIN it. I love your site and 99% of the time i Agree with you just not on this one.

DRC WILL NOT MAKE IT TO #22 ! ! !
