DeAngelo Hall A Raider

The Dallas Cowboys lose another chance to get a star cornerback with ESPN reporting that Falcons corner DeAngelo Hall has agreed in principle with the Raiders. The Raiders give up a second-round draft pick, albeit a high one.

Does this kill any chance Dallas trades up with the Falcons? Does this mean Dallas is trading with the Raiders?

Very interesting news here. Hall, although a bad attitude, likely would have been a good addition in Dallas. Jerry Jones et al must really be of the mindset that Terence Newman and Anthony Henry will be healthy enough and solid enough to do better in the coming season. We still need a third corner and likely a new safety if Roy Williams is going to play like he did this year.

Big Randy, Thats the most insane posting I have seen yet.  Congrats.

Bobbie Carpenter trade, Marcus Spears, trade Akin Ayodele trade plus third round pick will get you Darren Mcfadden. and still have a number 1 and 2

a tulip thats great.....I would rather be a dork. But like t.o. says it is what it is

Looks like the raiders want to get better...i dont blame them after 4 straight last place finishes. The only thing this means is that the raiders want to improve and their first rd pick is going to be mcfadden.....thats what up!!

Hey Trojan Boi, if Dallas trades up with Atlanta, Al Davis won't have his chance at McFadden. I Don't know if that is what is on Jerry's mind, but it sure as hell wouldn't surprise any of us. Besides, there are too many signs pointing in that direction just to be ignored. Even if Dallas decides to wait a little later, I don't see how Glenn Dorsey or Sedrick Ellis could be passed up for Oakland to select a RB. With Warren Sapp gone, that is some pretty big shoes to fill.

I'm not a dork. I'm a tulip. Get it straight!

yall need to bequiet  already mcfaddens not goin to da cowboys unless al davis passes him up witch im %10000 sure is NOT GOIN TO HAPPEN, so yall need stop dreaming!!!!

Another sign leading up to an Akin Ayodele trade.  ATLANTA? I don't know, but there is an inside linebacker from UNLV coming for a visit with the Cowboys. Beau Bell, I read this on another blog, but it was posted quoting statements given from Breer?. I believe. Dallas Morning News. Why are the Cowboys so interested in talking to an inside linebacker when what we have there is pretty darn good plus we just signed Zach Thomas.  Akin Ayodele is most likely gone next year. Where?, I don't know, but it sure as hell better not be Bradie James. This guy is not going to be around in the third round either though, so Jerry and Wade might have this guy targeted as their second round pick. If this is the case, DALLAS WILL NOT TRADE BOTH 1ST ROUND PICKS. The #28 will be used on a CB I would have to think, if a trade takes place which I believe will. I have not seen any hard evidence or heard anything on the news about this guy here in Arlington yet, but it looks like it could be fairly reliable information. If any of you have seen something more concrete about this situation, let us know. I am about to check out Ranch Report to see if I can find anything on this.

Easy Brad. Don't get worked up over that guys irresponsible comments. Lets talk COWBOYS. Hell, that jackass is probobly on an Atlanta Falcon blog now trying to get people worked up. Don't give in to it.

It would give Romo a more relaxed environment just to go ahead and go for it. Trade up. Take McFadden. Take a CB in the second, WR in the third if still is thought neccesary. ....   I think there are a lot of signs pointing to this Atlanta deal still.  Since Hall is gone it has actually become more of a reality.  I don't think Jerry would want the hefty pricetag that would have come in that deal including Hall.  Just for the pick though is actually not a long shot at all, if Canty,Barber,Ware, and Newman are signed to a long term structured contract. He could clear up all kinds of cap space. I think it at the same time it would be a boost of confidence for these guys to know that they are wanted for the long haul.

Raider guy shut up and do not compare jerry to al davis ......god that makes so me mad i cannot even speak eloquently.sorry

Dallas did not LOSE out on anything (deangelo small) quit whining about who the Cowboys arent getting and be thankful we are getting to keep our own players geez the boys were 13 and 3 andf I guarantee Dallas will not move up into the top ten in the draft.I digress Landry man I love your mock draft if that happens i will be very happy

Do you think Pacman will be re-instated before the draft? I don't. But, I think that it very well could be like Tank and he will be here around mid-season if he comes at all. We need to address this position early in the draft though if Jerry wants to take a legitimate shot of taking it all the way this year. If you guys could have any RB,WR,and CB in this draft, what are your #1 choices? What do you think would be a better trade up situation, taking Malcolm Kelly at #5 or taking Darren McFadden at #5 and losing both first round picks, or sticking to our selections and taking a CB then WR and taking a RB in the second. There is not as much depth at WR as there is at RB in the draft, so I think that if the wide reciever position is a must for Garrett to get going what he has in mind, he needs to take one with the #22 and give the #28 to Campo in the secondary. There will be good RB's in the second round, but I don't think Chris Johnson will be around. Maybe Ray Rice. However, like I said before, Darren McFadden could become Garrett's quick target guy in his scheme, much like Reggie Bush was to New Orleans when Deuce was healthy. I think that would be a great out for Romo when he gets in situations like he did with those insane pressure packages that Buffalo and Philly gave him in 07.

There's Raiders fans on here! Am I going to talk shit? No, because there is no reason too. Lets talk COWBOYS. Ass

Roy Williams has a new jersey number and hopefully a new lease on life.... a fresh start. Hes too damn good an athlete and person to have a career like the season he had last year. I feel like hes going to be shutting a lot of us up next season, and I hope he does...............and who cares about Hall, hes too expensive, lets get Pacman on the cheap

Dallas has the same tyranical beast as we do in Oakland in your fromt office.  Jerry Jones destroyed your franchise with the likes of Dave Campo and company.  It wasn't until Jones was smart enough to shut up and sign Parcells that things turned around.  I remember when all the talk from Cowboys fans was that Jones need to be removed.  T.O., Nate Newton, Michael Irvin, and now that Hall is gone I bet Pac Man Jones will become a Cowboy.  So you guys can't talk shit.  Dan Snyder knows as much about football as Al Davis' 2-year old great great great great grandchild, so you can't talk.  The Cowboys took a risk on T.O., and the Redskins signed Steve Spurrier.  One good move and one really bad, but a risk at a time of desperation that shows our teams really want to win.  At least we're not fans of the Cardinals or Bengals, because our teams are willing to take the chance.  In other words, if your going to talk shit, keep to the teams that have no Championships and are doing nothing about it.  Combined the Raiders, Cowboys, and Redskins have 11 Super Bowl titles, and we all know more are coming.  The fans in Arizona are just hoping to make the playoffs.

Landry, I'm just saying that Moss can't be THAT much of a locker room cancer since he's doing well at his new team.  Let's be fair, it's not like he had an open feud with the quarterback and then got benched for half a season or anything (and then cut).

That's fair.  Certainly Oakland seems like possibly the worst franchise in the league right now. Last I checked, their head coach is still working only because he refused to step down when Al Davis told him to.  He makes Miami's 1-15 season look promising.

Apparently Redskins Guy is now Patriots Guy. What a Moss homer.

Are you comparing the DISCIPLINE in New England to the CHAOS in Oakland? There is a HC who calls the shot in NWE, in Oak it's a revolving seat at HC they want the current HC gone after 1 year already. But Hall will be a "team player" riiiiight. Can we let Stanback play at least 1 snap as a WR before we completely give up on him and start calling for his replacement...

Yeah, because Randy Moss has clearly become a cancer for his the Patriots.  You just KNOW they would have won more games last season if it wasn't for that troublemaker Moss...and...you know...if they had actually lost a game in the regular season.

Stanback? Mike...come on. You tell me what you have seen in Stanback. Just show me something, please!!

Good. Hall is a locker room cancer. Raiders didn't learn their lesson with Randy Moss, let them try again.

Let it go guys!! Hall is going to get A. Samuel money and that means we NEVER had a chance.  ps--I'd still love TWO CB's in round one and we can still get a very good RB in round 2.  Yeah we could use a WR to go with Stanback and I'm sure there'll be a good one at our #93 pick.
