Shaun Alexander? No Thanks!

You know whom Shaun Alexander reminded me of this year? Julius Jones. You know, the running back the Dallas Cowboys decided not to sign because he can’t break tackles, find the holes, or stay on his feet? Yeah, that’s him.

I have no link, no rumor, no story to show you that says the Cowboys are even remotely interested in this guy. But I wanted to make my statement now before the rumors do start, because I am sure they will.

Alexander is over the hill. He will never be a good running back in the NFL ever again. He’s done. Finished. Bye bye.

He rushed for only 700 yards this past season. Yeah, he was injured, but he always will be if he decides to continue playing.  He went from an incredible 27 touchdowns in 2005 to 4 in 2007. If that is not a sure sign of career death, I don’t know what is.

So, let’s not report any of the Alexander rumors here, folks. It could jinx us. We don’t want him. He should just retire. He had a great career. Get the hell out of the NFL before your legs fall off.

I hope we dont go after kevin jones...he's coming off an acl injury...we need to grab someone out the draft

Hey Kevin Jones just got released by the Lions........rumors start in 3,2,1..........

Truth,S.A. is a has been and whats worse is he is a pussy and quit on his team....

Just giggles who would you want to see on the madden '09 cover?? My vote goes to Tom Brady...hahaha

Alexander still has a little left.  I had him in fantasy football in 2006 after his incredible 2005 season.  The Madden curse proved true and he's been injury plagued ever since.  But, one thing I will never forget is not only did he miss most of the season but he did put out ONE 200+ yard game in '06 when I DID NOT have him on my fantasy roster... bastard !  Anyway, that proves that he can still do it when he wants to, but he doesn't want to.  He sucks.  I see him maybe going to the Titans, but I can ASSURE you the Cowboys have NO interest whatsoever.

well said cowboycards.  S.A. is a has been....

S.A. is done I just hope the Cowboys dont go after his ass if he gets released. I did read that if he gets released It will cost seattle a 6.9 million cap charge.

I don't want a backup who has been a starter and is on the backside of his career. I want a young, strong, motivated player who will give you 110% when he is on the field.  A want another Marion Barber as the backup to Marion Barber.  Barber showed us how a backup that wants to start plays.

well looks like you started a semi rumor.......hahaa.  I wouldn't want Shaun but he's not a bad backup for some team willing to pick him up.  Really I think he just had a bad year.  I bet he will improve in 08 if he gets some decent p.t.
