Two Cornerbacks Visit Big D

Kansas cornerback Aqib Talib and Arizona cornerback Antoine Cason are to visit Dallas soon. The Dallas Morning News reports that these two guys are likely first-round picks. I’m not sure Cason is, but Talib will likely go before the Cowboys pick at No. 22. Cason may still be there.

Talib had a great Bowl game against Virginia Tech. But watch this youtube video to see his biggest weakness, one on one coverage:

And then there are these goodies:

and

And a great tackle:

As for Cason, I couldn’t find any videos on the guy. But read this for some background.

Yeah but like I said if you get him at a low price shouldent hurt you to bad I still think we should get a back up in the draft just in case also maybe 2nd round.

Brutal, didn't some defensive player Dallas signed try to walk into traffic and slit his own throat? Not every risky/shady player Dallas took a chance on has paid off. You've been lucky with TO, but Tank Johnson has only been with you guys for a third of a season.  That doesn't mean that you guys should keep pressing your luck. Sooner or later, one of them will blow up in your face.

NO ON ALEXANDER...COME ON GUYS !!!! THAT IS JUST PLAIN STUPID

http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/ this is the link where it says something about alexander. Also sorry about that I dont think you consider it a rumor it just a prediction that they put up where he might make a stop

Anytime someone posts a rumor here, include a link. Landry Hat rule.

There is rumor Shaun Alexander might be coming to Dallas maybe to see if we might want him. I wouldent even want him. Also since this is seeming like also that Alexander is the last available back in FA that if we dont take him that we will see our next RB in the draft.

So then its up to Roger Goodell and the NFL to reinstate him...if he ever gets a chance.

As far a not getting reinstated its hell trying to get anything done with league he probaly will get reinstated its just going to take a lot of talking.

It dont matter how many strip clubs any city there is 45 or just one 1 he can find one so it wont matter if he is in tennesse or dallas. Teams get rid of players as soon as someone does something wrong towards the team. T.O. trouble in the locker room and the coaches so they got rid of him now he is perfectly fine. Tank Johnson his gun charge team gets rid of him now he is fine. Pacman strip club problems doesnt mean he wont change. Hell there is more places to get a gun in Dallas dont mean Tank is going to go get one every chance he gets. The point is if you can get him a Tank Johnson salary then it wouldent hurt you. So if he did get in trouble no cost to you to get rid of him. Now if he dont get in trouble then a hell of a bargain for us.

Well T.O. never had any problems with the law and Tank knows better not get in trouble...I dont think he wants to go to jail again. Pacman just doesnt get it. Also I hear the dallas area has more than enough strip joints (I read that there are 45 strip clubs in the dallas area alone) he is trouble waiting to happen. I wonder why the league hasnt reinstated him yet and why the titans dont want him anymore...that right there should tell you something.

I dont know everyone said the same about Tank Johnson and even T.O. for some reason everyone wants to be a cowboy so they stay out of trouble.

Iam opposed to Pacman...he is not worth the trouble.

Rage,First I think our D is almost there.  But we need a couple corners that can come in and contribute now.  We need a third corner in three Wr sets and another good back up in case Tnew or Henry go down like this year for any period of time.  I am not opposed to Pacman if he comes with a T.O. or Tank Deal.

Like John A said we just need one playmaker and Pacman can feel that spot if we can get him

Yeah I see what your saying I just belive Dallas has a good enough defense to get there the way the are.

Rage,And I understand what your saying.  But I am willing to bet if you look at every super bowl winner since the start, the teams that won probably had a very good to dominant defense.  And I also think you will find very few that had a great offense and no defense.

Who ever said "lets trade D-ware" needs to get slapped with some sense....

Its not that I think defenses are dont win a game for you I just think it can go both ways because the offence has to score points in order for the defense to win the game. Rookies can come in and do great, as for our young players they didnt know how to turn it up a notch come playoff time like the giants did. Also just so everyone knows Larry Fitz is out of the picture so no more talking about trading ware lol.

Rage,I agree with you Dallas should have been there, however the Giants defense stepped up at the end of the season and Dallas was woefully unprepared.  And if after watching the super bowl you dont think defense wins championships,  I do not know what to tell you.  As for your rookies need experience,  thats bs.  If they are players they are players.  Look at Aaron Ross for the Giants.  That rook stepped up his game huge and came in to start when the Giants starting corners got hurt at the end of the season.  Also there is another couple rookie DB's that helped lesd their defense to a ring.  Does the names Ronnie Lott, Eric Wright and Carlton Williamson ring a bell.  All three were rooks when the niners won their ring in 81.

Sorry I already posted this just wanted it to be seen so i put it here for a new post. Ok maybe Im wrong, but I think our defense was not all that bad. I also dont understand how everyone tries to say defenses wins games. We gave up 325 points a game during the regular season average per game is about 20 points. The Giants gave up 348 points during the regular season averaging around 22 points a game. New England gave up 274 points during the regular season averaging only around 17 points a game. During the last two playoff games and the SuperBowl New England gave up 46 points averaging around 15 points a game. Giants gave up 51 points averaging 17 points. Defenses win games then why didnt New England win the SuperBowl. New England Defense had a great year but they needed their offence to score in the SuperBowl. The truth is Dallas could have been there the way the defense is now, but the Giants came with their game face come game time and Dallas didnt this is the part where rookies need some  experience and now they have it.
