As I can recall at the begining of the season our special teams were not so great when Davis was out. As for saftey I dont know Im probaly stupid for saying this but I still think Roy has some potential left in him. Its like Parcells screwed him up, I mean when he first came to dallas he was a monster people did not like to be in his path. Then Parcells comes and changes him up now you have him thinking too much and no reaction. I hope having Dave Campo back helps him become the old Roy. I just dont see Davis being better a saftey than he is at special teams I would hate to see him leave, but I dont see Dallas letting him have a starting job at saftey.
