Bobby Carpenter Not Trade Bait?

I have tried to figure out how a player affects the salary cap if he is not a free agent or restricted. In this case, if Bobby Carpenter were traded, what hit would the Cowboys take on the salary cap?

I don’t know how to figure that stuff out, and I am trying. However, someone else posted on a Cowboys forum this:

$2.1 Million cap charge to keep him.
$4.5 Million to trade him.

Yikes. That blows my recent mock draft out of the water. Looks like Bobby Carpenter isn’t going anywhere.

But what about Marcus Spears?

Rage and Landryhat,JJ let those coaches go as good faith return for when Miami let Garett go to come to us.

I was just watching some Marion Barber videos on youtube and Im one of the ones that is all for D-Mac as long as it dont involve Barber. I also heard some comments on how Barber running style wont last him long in the NFL. I just dont see how, because if you look at his videos he doesnt just run through people he uses every available weapon a back can have. His stiff arm its like he has a rocket behind his arm. Also when there is a guy in his path he drops his shoulder as to what all running backs all do. When you go for his legs he is jumping up to where your hands dont stay attached. He jukes defenders I just havent seen a weapon he does not use, but what I notice the most is he isnt really abusing his body constantly it just seems like it because how he manages gets through people. If we can get D-Mac without trading Barber do it you would regret if you dont. D-Mac plus Barber is scary as hell.

Hey landryhat maybe you can answer me this. When Parcells started taking parts of our team like for instance Tony Sparano, Jerry Jones didn't give him any trouble trying to keep him and if I understand he was a big part of our team and I dont know if he was on a contract of any sort. Even when it came to other individuals Jerry just let it happen. Could this be that Jerry has been planning on doing a trade with him after all in the draft. It was just and idea I could be over doing it.

This is what I been saying in previous posts. If we trade Bobby Carpenter there goes our draft. I dont think we can trade marcus spears either. It's best if we stick with our picks and draft accordingly.

I still have some faith in Bobby Carpenter.  He was really good at Ohio State.  Marcus Spears has shown me nothing.  He is a big let down.  I think Bobby might be alot better with someone like Zach Thomas playing next to him. We will just have to wait and see.  I think our best trade bait will be Akin Ayodel and Marcus Spears.

What are we trading for D-Mac and DeAngelo I dont know but like I said on the recent post according to NFL.com Dallas is looking like the most interested team for Pacman. If we do end up with Pacman I dont even see why we would trade with Alanta for DeAngelo. So I was wondering if this brings up the idea of us trading with Miami for the 1st pick once again. I just dont see Pacman even being the WoW in our team I just dont see any trades happening unless its for just D-Mac. Also with D-Mac recent interview with NFL Network saying that he would like to play for Dallas probaly has Jerry feeling jumpy. Also I dont know much about draft signing but lets say D-Mac is a big Cowboys fan is it possible that he would come down on the price to come here or do we have to pay him around 30 Million for a contract.
