Anthony Henry Rumor

The Ranch Report is calling inside information that cornerback Anthony Henry won’t be with the Dallas Cowboys for this upcoming season. Here we go again.

If we recall, many of us were quite disturbed when the Cowboys dropped Aaron Glenn. We weren’t upset because he was such a spectacular player; we were concerned that the Cowboys dropped a player from a secondary that already is hurting from poor play. Glenn was at least a seasoned veteran.

So the rumor that Henry is next is a bit confusing because the Cowboys have been pretty secretive on what the plans are for the draft and the free agent market. The Landry Hat strongly believes that cornerback is the most-pressing need right now.

I’m pretty confused over this rumor. Henry wasn’t that bad this year. But I also think there is a better player available out there, so dropping him could work to free up cash to sign Asante Samuel.

the biggest weakness on this team is ROY WILLIAMS....is time to hit the road you absolute fluke, we all know you cant cover anyone, and now you cant tackle either....you should be embarrsed of the way you play, it doesnt even look like you play hardThis defense will never get better until you get a new safety, and another corner, and i dont mean jaque reeves( another one who sucks)

Henrey was great he had more interceptions than anybody else on the team.  There are alot of great corners in the league but, not many like Henrey.  I would love to get a young fast corner but will it make any difference.  There are corners like Samuel but, are we willing to pay that kind of money.  Dallas has alot of disisions to make and, we need to make them fast.

Samuel for Henry works for me but I'm with you.  Henry is not the studd that Newman is but he is a playmaker and led the team in Interceptions.  He is better than any other option sitting on the bench. I would have preferred the Cowboys sign a big free agent like Samuel and keep Henry as the nickel or dime CB...  If we loose Henry and sign a big Free Agent like Samuel, we still have Reeves playing nickle.. which to me is the biggest weakness on the Cowboys defense.

Maybe they plan on going after another veteran in free agency.  I see Dwight Smith was just released by the Vikings. What do you think about him?
