Terrell Owens is a True Cowboy
I have always thought that Terrell Owens gets a bad rap. Although he was once one of Dallas Cowboys fans’ most-disliked players because of the “star incident” when he was a 49er, he’s quickly become one of my favorite players on this team.
Despite the press trying to create controversy with Owens all year at the drop of a dime, the wide out really showed his true colors this year with the Dallas Cowboys. He was a team player. He was supportive. And he played hard. All he wants to do is win.
Last night’s press conference was emotional. I felt his pain. Of course, the anti-Cowboys minority is making fun of him and the Cowboys, and that is to be expected. But Owens deserves better from us Cowboys fans. He had a great year and his work ethic is the best in the NFL. Owens has really turned a new leaf. If he finishes his career as a Cowboys, I do believe he will finally win that ring. Keep the faith, Owens. You won over a lot of us this year.

January 14th, 2008 at 7:51 pmSay what you want Iggles, but it seems to me that Romo must have some leadership qualities that McNabb lacks. TO defends Romo and throws McNabb under the bus. Has TO changed that much? I don’t think so. Why oh why would he be so eager to trash one qb and defend another? Both had disappointing losses. In some ways the Dallas game was a worse loss because nobody expected the Eagles to win the superbowl and yet the Cowboys were the clear favorite last week. So why is he defending Romo? Seems to me that Romo earned his loyalty where McNabb didn’t.

January 17th, 2008 at 5:54 amI think you don’t have a clue who these people really are character wise Iggles… TO obviously has a better bond with Tony than he did with Jeff or Donovan. Further more, he looks like he did when he first started playing under Jerry Rice and playing with Steve Young. He knows Tony has what it takes to get him there and be CONSISTENTLY good. Donovan IMO is not that consistent, just my 2 cents
January 17th, 2008 at 9:25 amI think McNabb is really insecure too. He had a hissy fit when the team dared to draft a quarterback. He constantly bitches about how he doesn’t have any help but whenever the team acquires a quality player he has a fit because he wants everything to be ALL ABOUT HIM. TO isn’t a great player, but I think his attitude this year has demonstrated that at least part of his problem in Philly was due to McNabb. Crying aside (funny as that was) he stood by his team when he could have been pointing fingers at all sorts of things. Please keep in mind that I’m a Redskins fan and I *HATE* the cowboys more than anything. But even I have to admit that TO clearly wasn’t the entire problem in Philly.

Actually I do read your blog Iggles, and I listen to your rants on paltalk where you say the Eagles were the best team in the NFC East last year (I *THINK* that’s you anyway). I’m just changed my name from gehenna to Redskins Guy (because my name is Guy and I like the Redskins. See how clever I am?) and I hadn’t bothered to do that over here yet.
