Refs Blow Call, Help Giants Score

Well, the refs already blew a call in this important game. On 3rd and 6, DeMarcus Ware was called for offsides. Unfortunately, he was not offsides. This penalty gave the Giants a 3rd and 1, which they got. On the very next play Amani Toomer scored after some poor tackling attempts. However, the play should have never happened and Dallas should have had the ball but the blown call extended the drive.

Giants lead 7-0 early in the first.

Actually, the bad call was giving the Cowboys their second touchdown when Barber clearly had his knee down before he got in.  The off sides was a good call.

The real title for this article should have been: "Landryhat shits brick, makes up pathetic excuse as rationalization."

Cowboys gotta wake up.  The Giants in Lambeau next week?  Might as well punch the Packers’ tickets for the Super Bowl.  And I don’t need that sheeeeeeeeeet.

Hey Landry! What was that you were saying about how the Cowboys can’t possibly lose? What was that about the superbowl? Maybe you SHOULD have been more nervous about the Giants after all.

It would be easy to come on here and say hahaha, and make fun of you, but I will have some respect.  You are obviously a die hard fan who does more research than most reporters that cover the actual team.  Your fandom shows itself at times to be a little…I don’t know…shortsighted, for lack of a better word.  But, as a fan it sometimes hard to even think about losing, let along facing it as a reality.  It would be refreshing to not see you whine too much about the loss here, as it was a good season.  This reminds me of a story I read once title "Why Mike Tyson will KO Kevin Mcbride in one."I found your blog late this season, but I’ll keep an eye on it for now.  Sorry about your loss.

I mentioned in a previous post that the Giants were not very impressive, but hey they won when it counts. Credit to New York, they are moving on. I found this whole game comical. How pathetic it is to be the #1 seed and go down. How pathetic it is to come out with 12 pro bowlers and underperform in a game you should have been ready to play for two weeks. Of course I am a Cowboy fan, but you put your blinders on here Dan. This collapse was kind of predictable to see. Gehenna actually made the most sense in one of his/her posts, citing that the Cowboys have looked weak and vulnerable since the Detroit Lion game. Who is defending Tony Romo now, the idiot goes to Mexico for a vacation during bye week. His last name isn’t Brady or Manning, what the hell is his problem? What about locking yourself up at the ranch studying film and working with your receivers on catching the ball? This Cowboy team acted like they had done something, like they had a handful of playoff wins and a pair of super bowl rings. Now Romo has to live with that doubt, asking himself if he could have done more. Now you have the next eight months to ask yourself "Did I spend every chance I got preparing for the biggest game of my life"? How embarrassing it must be.

Vegas Line, you’re right. I did show a bit of homer-ism for the Cowboys this season. A lot of it was fake, too. Problem is, I was trying to overpower the negativity here from the anti-Cowboys people who comment here a lot more than the hundreds-plus people from Texas who visit this site every day.
I learned a lot as my first full year of blogging the Dallas Cowboys. I really did. And The Landry Hat will never be the same.

Joseph, I know. Part of me didn’t want to see it that way because it just didn’t seem possible with a 13-3 team. But, it was obvious that this team was not prepared to play today and that’s the coaches problem. I am calling for Wade Phillips firing.

    gehenna Says:

I will say in Tony Romo’s defense that his head coach TOLD all the players to go out and get away from football. All Tony Romo did was follow his coach’s advice in a more public manner than the rest of his team.  Sure he probably should have been reviewing game film and stuff, but that was the coach’s call as far as I can tell.

You’re right, Gehenna. One reason why I am calling for his head. I personally would be immersing myself in football and the Giants.

You won’t hear me arguing with you about Wade.  The man’s a puppet with a terrible track record as a head coach prior to this year.  As a Redskins fan, I’m much happier with Wade as the Cowboys head coach than I am with Jason Garrett.  Wade Phillips reminds me of Campo in a lot of ways.
