Marion Barber will start tomorrow against the Giants for the first time all year. This isn’t a surprising move at all, and in fact, it’s more shocking that it took all season long to make this decision. I wonder if Julius Jones’ comments that he had no desire to remain a Cowboy had much to do with this.
This doesn’t bode well for the Giants. Barber, a punishing running back who runs hard, has shunned the media his entire career and is a true team player. He just wants to get on that field and run over someone. I also think this decision gives the Cowboys a bit of energy and motivation the night before the game tomorrow.
The excitement is overwhelming. I just pulled out my Troy Aikman jersey from 1990 and my old faithful Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt. This is the biggest game I can remember in a long time. A lot is on the line here, especially fan faith in Tony Romo, who was signed earlier this year to a lucrative contract. This is his second opportunity to win a playoff game.
