Tony Sparano to be Next Dolphins Coach

by Cowboys

Several newspapers are reporting that Bill Parcells has locked Dallas Cowboys assistant coach and offensive lineman coach Tony Sparano as the Dolphins next head coach, effective at the end of the season.

This irritates me. It’s the third person who has left the Cowboys organization for sunny Miami. This bothers me because it’s occurring in the midst of the playoffs, when the Cowboys face the most scrutiny the team has faced since the 1-15 Jimmy Johnson year when pundits wondered if he was the answer.

If there was ever a reason to dislike Parcells, this is it. I understand the NFL is a business and the Cowboys coaches are coveted because of this success. But it does very little for the Cowboys in the playoffs. And while Tony Romo is in Mexico with his bimbo, us fans are sitting here wondering how far this team will go in these playoffs.

However, this is also good news in that Jason Garrett hasn’t committed to the Dolphins, Falcons or Ravens. If there is anyone the Cowboys need to retain, it is Garrett.

It is a sign you will be struck by lightning tonight or tomorrow. You take care, OK? We will miss you.

Oh I forgot the Patriots.  I knew I was missing someone. Anyway, how about that? Dan and I actually agree on something. Isn't that one of the signs of the apocalypse?

That's the thing about Parcells. He always finds a way to backstab the team he leaves.  I thought the Cowboys were going to get a free pass from this rule, but apparently he's getting his revenge after all.  Seriously, he's screwed over the Giants, Jets, Bucs (twice!), Falcons, and now the Cowboys (and two of those teams he never actually coached).  And don't doubt that he takes some glee in sabotaging the Cowboys.  You know that the cowboys success this year has to piss him off.  He probably wants the Cowboys to lose almost as much as I do.

Who is the 3rd?  I heard Brian Gaines but I have no idea who he is and have seen nothing on it other than some swap talk in a news forum.
