How to Beat the Giants: Pressure Eli and Make Him Cry

We’ve all seen it: Eli Manning throws three interceptions, and leads his team to a demeaning loss. He heads over to the sidelines, separating himself from his teammates and he puts on his pouty-wouty Eli Manning crybaby face. “It’s not my fault,” you can hear his brain telling him.

That’s how you beat the New York Football Giants; you make Eli Manning cry. It’s not difficult to do. He’ll make those mistakes and the Dallas Cowboys need to capitalize on those errors. In today’s matchup against the Bucs, Eli played an error-free football game, so he is ripe for a few in Dallas.

I won’t even say that the Cowboys need to come out firing, scoring quickly. They haven’t done that but once all year. I just want them to win. I’d be lying if I said I am not nervous. It’s not easy beating a divisional foe three times in a season. Only the great teams do that.

The Dallas Cowboys are a great team. Terrell Owens is healing well. Tony Romo is out getting some ‘nookie-nookie’ by a hot blonde in Mexico, apparently bringing along tight end Jason Witten for the weekend getaway. Fine. I hope it works. I hope come Sunday these guys show America that the 13-3 season was no joke.

All week, all I will blog about is this matchup. Check here often for the breaking news, the tips, the trash-talking and the first idiot on the Giants who will guarantee a win. You know it’s coming, right?

Unfortunately you're probably right. Anytime you utter the words "Now we really need Eli Manning to step up" you know you're in trouble.  Eli Manning, like Citizen Watches, are unstoppable.  He's especially unstoppable when it comes to making bad decisions.

I know...I know...

I do expect the Cowboys to win though

Also, these teams seemed to be evenly matched early in the game. However, in the fourth quarter Dallas was able to take control. Romo was very accurate, and Manning played stupid with the three(!) delay of game penalties and that one pick to Ken Hamlin. Remember, that one holding penalty on Chris Snee? That was questionable, and the game would have been tied with the touchdown. Nervous time for Cowboy fans. This game is no gimme!

There is always one play in the beginning of the game that the Giants love to run when they play at Texas Stadium. It's a play-action pass and the design is for Plaxico to beat our coverage. Roy Williams usually bites on the run, and there is no one to help poor Jaques Reeves or Nathan Jones down the field. Watch out for that play, Dan.
