LaRon Landry Tries to Cripple Terry Glenn? Shameful!

What in the hell is this? Did LaRon Landry purposely try to cripple Terry Glenn, possibly ending his career? It sure looks like a suspicious hit to me. Glenn was playing his first game of the year after a serious knee injury. The second time he was thrown to, Landry does a slide right into Glenn’s knees. Another shameful play from the Washington Redskins defense. Yeah, you won. Hopefully, we see you in Round 2 of the playoffs. Glad you enjoyed beating our second team.Glenn was shown looking up at the screen to see how Landry hit him. But when Glenn spoke to his teammates, someone convinced him the hit might have been dirty. Tony Romo was pissed, too. During the postgame press conference, he said he was disappointed with the “cheap shot.”

“From what I heard, the guy was really trying to take me out,” Glenn said. “So now I look back on it, yeah, I think it was intentional, because he could’ve stayed back. If I’m running in for the ball like that, why is he coming at my knees? He’s a young guy,” Glenn said. “And hey, I guess he wanted to play a little dirty, I don’t know, I’m not sure.”

Oh please. Look at his hands when he dives down. He was trying to dive for the ball, not to take out anyone’s knees.  This is just pathetic.

He was trying to cripple him. It appears pretty obvious to me.

Looked to me like he was going for the ball.  When I saw the play in real time I too thought it looked like he was going for the knees, but when they slowed it downI thought it appeared like incidental contact.  Wouldn’t be surprised to see Landry get fined cause he (or some of the Redskins) apparently <a href="http://blog.dallascowboys.com/blogs/mickshots/archive/2007/12/31/mick-shots-dec-30.aspx>said some stuff to Glenn before the game (third one down).</a>Just for the record, I wouldn’t mind NOT seeing either The Giants or Skins in the Playoffs.  Not that I don’t think we could win, but I’d much rather play a non-divisional opponent — a.k.a. the people who know us best and want to beat us more.

He went for the ball, and rolled on the ground. There was no intent to harm Glenn at all. If anything Glenn is an idiot for not just jumping over him.

This just shows how petty and classless the Cowboys and their fans can be.  They get humiliated so they need to fabricate something to distract themselves from their own shame.

Nick, welcome. You are a good friend. I merely posed the question to my readers about the Landry hit. I think it was dirty. He was going for the ball by sliding on the ground? COME ON!

Oh come on!Landry was trying to get a pick from Tony Homo. You could see his hands trying to get the ball and then he slid into Glenn’s knees from that momentum. I can’t believe how retarded you Cowboys fans are!
