Philly @ Dallas Notes

I missed the first two drives of the third quarter  but I did catch Andre Gurode’s apparent injury and this thumb concern with Romo. Everything has got to be OK. Dallas did score a field goal and it is now 7-6 Eagles.

The Eagles have the ball with 6:16 left and DeMarcus Ware just got another sack and the Eagles have to punt

The Cowboys have gone 39 minutes and 10 seconds without a touchdown and that’s the longest drought of the season for them. On 1st and 10 Owens drops a pass. On 2nd and 10 Romo play actions to Witten for 5 yards. On 3rd and 5 Romo’s pass is tipped and Dallas has to punt again.

The Eagles get the ball and drive into Dallas territory pretty quickly. On 3rd and 3 at the Dallas 11 Westbrook takes a screen for a first down after John Runyan makes an illegal chop block.
The third quarter ends.

On 1st and Goal at the Dallas 6, Westbrook runs for two. On 2nd and Goal McNabb’s pass is batted down by Tank Johnson. On 3rd and Goal the pass for Curtis is incomplete. The Eagles will have to settle for a field goal here, and they lead 10-6. Once again strong defense from the Cowboys.

It’s now time for the Dallas offense to get moving. Time to put this game away!

On 1st and 10  Romo play actions and throws to Owens for his first catch. Owens runs to the Cowboys 45. On 1st and 10 Witten gets a quick throw and runs for another 10 yards for 14 yards total. He threw Brian Dawkins to the GROUND!!!!!! On 1st and 10 Romo nearly throws another interception in a short middle dump pass to Marion Barber, who was well covered. Romo is lucky here. On 2nd and 10 a screen pass was broken up. On 3rd and 10 Romo throws incomplete for Witten. Dallas punts.
